New York Is Sixth Safest State in the U.S.

Crime reportedly dropped by 2.7 percent statewide this year, with violent crime down more than 5 percent. Overall, violent crime has declined by more than 50% in New York state in the past ten years. Lower crime rates in the city have had a major impact on the statewide statistics. Police statistics show crime is down almost 5% this year in New York City.
