centralparksnowybenchsmall.jpgA blizzard has dumped a foot of snow on Manhattan, with total accumulations of up to 15" of snow expected in Central Park before it's over. I guess that Groundhog was right when he predicted six more weeks of winter. That was ten days ago, when it was fifty degrees outside. Talk about crazy weather fluctuations.

The snow looks beautiful -- big fluffy snowflakes falling on streets blanketed in pristine white (for now). But with heavy winds and low temperatures, it's not much fun to walk around in. The City of New York has issued a blizzard advisory and recommends that New Yorkers remain indoors. More winter storm safety tips from the NYC Office of Emergency Management.
