Saturday kicks off a week-long celebration of all that's best about Scotland. The center of the action is The Scottish Village in Grand Central Terminal, where you can learn about Scottish culture and enjoy the talents of Scottish performers and artisans (from pipers to dancers to barrel makers). Elsewhere in the city, you'll find Scottish readings, films, Scotch-tastings and other events all week long.

From Soup to Nuts 2: Cello Concert Renowned cellist Harry Wimmer aims to make classical music more accessible and fun with his second annual "Soup to Nuts" at the Thalia. Wimmer will be joined by his wife, the classical violinist Shirley Givens, and his son, Cajun fiddle player Kevin Wimmer. Tickets are $15 each and benefit Doctors Without Borders.
