Celebrate Bastille Day in New York on Friday, February 14 and into the weekend:
Les Halles Liberty Festival Bastille Day -- There's plenty to do at this free outdoor block party featuring the famous Waiter’s Races -- in which waiters race with full trays. There's also food, music, and entertainment.
Bastille Day Ball at the Puck Building -- Dance to French music and big band tunes at this gala event. Admission is $30 per person ($20 in advance).
French For A Day Festival -- On Sunday, enjoy a full day of French culture and entertainment at this outdoor festival on 60th Street between Fifth Avenue and Lexington Avenue.
Looking for some non-French fun this weekend? Instead, you can cheer on New York triathletes, sample exotic coffees and teas, or shake it salsa-style at Lincoln Center.
New York City Triathlon -- Thousands of athletes will swim, bike, and run through the boroughs of New York City at Sunday's Nautica New York City Triathlon.
Everything 4 Coffee & Tea Festival -- It's a New York caffeine fiend's fantasy come to life -- a two-day festival of coffee and tea at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Sample delicious blends, view tea ceremonies and coffee demonstrations, and register to win raffle prizes.
Midsummer Night Swing Salsa Saturday -- Once you're fully hopped up on caffeine, head over to Lincoln Center to work off some of that energy on the dance floor to the sweet salsa sounds of Bio Ritmo.
