Rocky and A Room With A View
Monday August 21, 2006
Tonight is your last chance this summer to catch a movie in Bryant Park. The Bryant Park Film Festival closes this week with a free showing of Rocky, the inspiring story of an underdog with a dream and a minor speech impediment. Be prepared to hear "Adriannnnn!!" from the peanut gallery approximately 400,000 times during the showing.
If you're in the mood for more highbrow cinema, head uptown for a special 20th anniversary showing of A Room With A View. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences are presenting a special screening with director James Ivory at Lighthouse International (111 East 59th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues, 888-778-7575). The film begins at 6:30PM and admission is $5.
