Dogs in Halloween Costumes On Parade

Sunday October 29, 2006
New York dogs strutted their stuff on Sunday at the 16th Annual Tompkins Square Dog Halloween Parade. The cuteness was almost overwhelming.

There were pirates, superheroes, princesses, bumblebees, unicorns, and many more adorable and creative costumes on display. Many of the costumes were lovingly handmade by the doggie owners and sweetly tolerated by the doggies themselves. Some of the most original costumes included a MetroCard and turnstile, a Chinese food takeout container, Siamese Twin dogs, and Carmen Miranda.

Check out lots of great photos of NYC's cutest dogs in their Halloween costume finery.
