Meanwhile, the 14th New York African Film Festival starts tomorrow and will feature 47 features, documentaries and shorts from 20 countries ranging from Algeria to South Africa over nine days. The goal of the festival is to challenge American prejudices and notions about African life and special features will include rarely seen archival footage, including colonial propaganda films and newsreels.
