Apparently, the line started forming on Monday at the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue. Yes, on Monday. At least two devoted gadgetheads are committed to waiting in line for four full days to get their hands on iPhones. The cynic in me has to wonder if these guys were hired by the marketing geniuses at Apple to create even more early buzz.
Then again, there are plenty of people who have been gearing up to wait in line to be among the first proud iPhone owners (read the demographic profile of the iPhone line waiter). Waiting in line for a day, maybe two, is to be expected. But four days? These gentlemen have raised the bar.
