- Billie Holiday Reimagined -- Join the River to River Festival at South Street Seaport to hear the music of Billie Holiday interpreted by some of today's top DJs and remixers. Experience a legend as you've never heard her before from 7PM to 9PM, then join the after-party from 9PM until 4AM in the nearby Spiegelworld tent.
- Tracy Morgan at Carolines -- See the hilarious Tracy Morgan live at Carolines on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night. You might get lucky and see him take his shirt off.
- Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival -- Take the train to Queens to watch more than 100 teams race dragon boats on Meadow Lake in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Stick around for music, dancing, martial arts demonstrations, and a fabulous ethnic food court.
- Central Park SummerStage -- Check out free concerts in Central Park this weekend. On Friday, see modern dance performances. On Saturday, enjoy an evening of salsa, electronica, and Boricua rhythms with the Spanish Harlem Orchestra, the Spam Allstars, and more. On Sunday, celebrate the sights and sounds of Brazil at the Cine Fest Brazil screening and the music of AfroReggae.
- Mostly Mozart Does Beethoven -- Get your Ludwig fix at Lincoln Center this weekend. On Saturday, enjoy a Beethoven marathon at Avery Fisher Hall with conductor Louis Langree and pianist Jeffrey Kahane. On Sunday, hear a tribute to Beethoven as interpreted by Glenn Gould.
- Amateur Female Jello Wrestling -- On Sunday night, head to Arlene's Grocery on the Lower East Side to get messy in a tub of jello. Arrive by 6:30 for an introductory wrestling lesson. Admission is free for wrestlers, $5 for women, $10 for men with female companions, and $20 for single men.
- Summergarden Jazz at MOMA -- Did you know that the Musuem of Modern Art hosts free jazz concerts in the Sculpture Garden every summer Sunday? This Sunday, enjoy the music of Moran Katz on the clarinet, Caroline Stinson on the cello, and Joel Sachs at the piano. Admission is free, but seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis so arrive early. Gates open at 7 PM and the concert begins at 8 PM.
- Take A Cool Dip -- Take a dive into one of New York City's public or hotel swimming pools and cool off this weekend. Looking for something a little different? Splash around in the East River with the Floating Pool Lady in her seven-lane swimming pool moored off of the beach in Brooklyn Bridge Park.
- Weekend Street Fairs and Festivals -- Hit the streets this weekend for shopping and snacking at great street fairs on 116th Street, Seventh Avenue, Columbus Avenue, and all around the city.
