It's almost St. Patrick's Day and plenty of New Yorkers are starting the celebration early. Here are our top New York City event picks for the weekend of March 14-16, 2008:
- Almost St. Patrick's Day Events -- Start gearing up for St. Patty's Day with weekend celebrations like Pogues concerts, a day of Irish culture and fun at the Irish Arts Center, and much more.
- World Water Week -- Saturday marks the beginning of World Water Week. Help raise money to supply clean drinking water to countries that need it. You can even join Russell Simmons for a family Water Walk in Riverside Park to raise awareness.
- Family Music Jams -- Rock out with your kids at concerts featuring some of the hottest family entertainers around. Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could will be playing at Highline Ballroom on Saturday at 12PM (tickets $15). On Sunday, Princess Katie & Racer Steve will be rocking the Bowery Poetry Club, also at 12PM (tickets $10).
- Macy's Flower Show -- Starting on Sunday, the flowers will be in bloom at Macy's. Approximately 30,000 varieties will be on display at the spectacular annual Macy's Flower Show.
