Lapdance with Danger
Tuesday March 18, 2008
Poor Stephen Chang. He went to the Hot Lap Dance Club on West 38th Street for (what else?) a lap dance, but ended up with a stiletto in the eye. According to The Daily News, Chang is suing the club, alleging that he "sustained serious personal injuries" after his bump-and-grind session with an apparently klutzy dancer went awry and "the employee suddenly swung around, striking [Chang] in the eye with the heel of her shoe." That was probably not easy to explain to the missus.
You would think that an establishment with a classy name like the Hot Lap Dance Club and a $50 cover charge would be able to offer a safe environment for nude lap wriggling. For those concerned about avoiding injury during your next hot lap dance, consider the following precautions:
- Wear a helmet. You just can't be too careful when it comes to protecting your peepers. Safety goggles are a more-portable option for the guy on the go.
- Insist on properly trained lap dancers. Make sure your dancer has been professionally instructed in lap dance safety.
- Trade the stilettos for fuzzy slippers. Sure, high heels are sexy, but nobody looks hot after you've been poked in the eye. Opt for soft fluffy slippers and enjoy true peace of mind during your bump and grind.
