Bastille Day in New York

On July 14, France commemorates the 1789 storming of the Bastille prison, which marked the beginning of the French Revolution. New York is joining in the celebration of Bastille Day with some fun events for the whole family:- Bastille Day at Park Avenue Bistro with Marie Antoinette -- Let yourself eat cake and have your photo taken with Marie Antoinette at Park Avenue Bistro's sidewalk café. Marie will be posing IN and OUT of her Guillotine between 12PM and 2PM and between 6PM and 8PM. Park Avenue Bistro will also be offering a three-course prix-fixe Bastille Day dinner for $35.00 with complimentary tastings of French aperitif Lillet.
- Bastille Day Ball -- Dance to French music and big band tunes at this gala event at Spotlight Live. Admission is $30 per person and tickets are available online.
- Bastille Magnolias at The Duplex -- Colleen McHugh celebrates all things French with a night of tunes by Edith Piaf, Michel Legrand and George Gershwin. Cover is $20 with a two-drink minimum.
