Classical Music in Bryant Park

Wednesday September 24, 2008
New York Now Skip happy hour tonight and opt for an evening of operatic desire and longing in Bryant Park. The New York City Opera is performing a free concert called Love American Style. City Opera artists will present selections from operas including Susannah and Madama Butterfly, operettas including Candide and Naughty Marietta, and musical theater classics including South Pacific and A Little Night Music.

The show begins at 5:30PM on the park's Upper Terrace (seating opens at 4PM). It's brought to you by New York Now, a series of eight FREE after-work concerts featuring musicians from the world's finest music institutions (the New York Philharmonic, The Metropolitan Opera, Orchestra of St. Luke's, New York City Opera and The New York Pops).

The New York Now series runs from September 23rd through October 8th in Bryant Park. See the full schedule for New York Now.
