Vote Today, Party Tonight

i voted Let me join the chorus of people reminding you to get to your polling place today and cast your vote. New Yorkers, you can't get ticked off about being called arugula-eating faux Americans if you don't exercise your right to vote for who's going to run this country (and yes, that still includes New York) for the next four years.

And if civic responsibility alone can't motivate you to vote for President of the United States, maybe free stuff will. Several companies are offering free goodies for voters on Election Day:
  • Free Starbucks coffee -- Stop by your local Starbucks and get a free tall cup of brewed coffee (limit one per customer).
  • Free Krispy Kreme doughnut -- Krispy Kreme is giving away free star-shaped doughnuts with patriotic sprinkles on Election Day.
  • Free Ben & Jerry's ice cream -- Visit a participating Ben & Jerry's location between 5 and 8 PM on election day and get a free scoop of ice cream.
  • Free sex toys at Babeland -- Not satisfied with free coffee and sweets? Babeland wants to make sure all voters are satisfied on Election Day.
And don't worry, the fun's not over once you've placed your vote and picked up all your free voter swag. You don't have to go home and watch the returns come in by your lonesome. See our guide to Election Night parties and events in New York City (free drinks, live coverage, and lots of people to talk politics with).
