Holiday Tree Lighting in Bryant Park
Tuesday December 2, 2008

Join The Barenaked Ladies, Broadway stars, and Olympic athletes for the lighting of The Holiday Tree at Bryant Park tonight. The free tree lighting ceremony starts at 6:15 PM and will be broadcast live on CBS 2. Watch as more than 30,000 lights twinkle to life on a majestic 51-foot Canadian balsam fir adorned with 3,000 designer ornaments.
Then sit back and enjoy live entertainment including performances by The Barenaked Ladies, Michael Feinstein, and Cheyenne Jackson. You can also marvel at the moves of famed Canadian Olympic skaters Jamie Salé and David Pelletier on the ice of The Pond at Bryant Park.
And while you're in Bryant Park, you can always take a spin around the ice or do a little gift shopping at The Holiday Shops at Bryant Park.
And don't forget to save some oohs and aahs for tomorrow night's Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Ceremony featuring Beyonce, Tony Bennett, the Jonas Brothers, and more.
