Yes, it's finally Friday. You have a lot of entertainment options on this lovely May weekend.
- NYC Tattoo Convention -- Check out some of the greatest body art from around the world and get inked by one of the dozens of top tattoo artists in residence.
- Rooftop Films Opening Night -- Rooftop Films will kick off their 2009 season of "underground films outdoors" on Friday night with a program of short films and an open bar after party.
- It's My Park Day! -- On Saturday, join thousands of other New Yorkers to help beautify our NYC parks for summer and enjoy free events and walking tours.
- New York City Dance Parade 2009 -- Shake your moneymaker down old Broadway on Saturday afternoon. The Dance Parade will start at 1pm, hoof it to Tompkins Square Park and then transform into DanceFest, a four-hour free festival with dance performances, dance lessons, and a DJ party.
- Gotham Girls Roller Derby -- See the vicious women of Manhattan Mayhem (featuring Fisti Cuffs and Surly Temple) take on the Brooklyn Bombshells (featuring Carmen Monoxide and Hela Skelter) at Hunter College on Saturday night.
- AIDS Walk New York -- Join Hillary Duff and thousands of New Yorkers to walk for a cure on Sunday.
- Outplay 2009 -- Go out and play in Central Park at this unique Sunday event. Participants will be challenged to create new games based on random sets of rules and props.
- Veggie Pride Parade -- Dress up as your favorite vegetable and celebrate the vegetarian lifestyle on Sunday at the 2nd Annual Veggie Pride Parade. The parade will start in the Meatpacking District (how appropriate) at noon and end in Union Square, where the party will continue until 5PM.
