Acclaimed pop artist Robert Indiana’s iconic HOPE sculpture will be on display in Times Square at 44th Street and Broadway from Thursday, June 4 through Wednesday, June 10. HOPE will be unveiled in Times Square on Thursday, June 4th at noon at a celebration featuring music by Loop 2-4-3 and the Vinca Quartet and a special Hope dance by Teresa Smith.
Robert Indiana is best known for his internationally recognized LOVE sculpture, versions of which can be found around the world, from New York’s Sixth Avenue to Taipei.
With the letters stacked atop another and its distinctive tilted “O,” LOVE is one of the most widely recognized and reproduced images in contemporary art. HOPE is the artist’s long awaited follow-up to that masterpiece.

The unveiling of HOPE is the latest event taking place in our newly traffic-free Times Square. Upcoming events also include a live Tony simulcast on Sunday, June 7 and the delicious Taste of Times Square on Monday, June 8.
