Museum Mile Festival

Get your fill of free culture on Tuesday at the annual Museum Mile Festival. From 6PM-9PM, enjoy free admission to nine of the country's finest museums on Fifth Avenue. Participating museums include the Met, the Guggenheim, the Museum of the City of New York, El Museo del Barrio, and more.There will also be plenty to do outside the museums. From 82nd Street to 105th Street, Fifth Avenue will be cleared of traffic for live bands, entertainment, an interactive street mural project, and other free art-in-the-street activities.
The Museum Mile Festival kicks off with an opening ceremony at 5:45 pm on the steps of the Guggenheim on Fifth Avenue and 89th Street. More than 50,000 New Yorkers are expected to turn out for this evening of art, culture, and fun.
