Dancing Gold Diggers in Bryant Park

Monday June 29, 2009
Gold Diggers of 1933
Tonight's Bryant Park film selection is a perfect escapist treat from the Depression era. Busby Berkely's Gold Diggers of 1933 is a musical extravaganza complete with leggy showgirls in kick lines, elaborate sets and costumes, pre-Code glimpses of skin, and Ginger Rogers.

Pick up dinner and popcorn and enjoy a picnic in the park before the movie. You can even order for pick-up at the 'wichcraft kiosk in the park (call 212-780-0577 or order online).

Films begin at dusk (between 8 and 9PM), but the lawn opens at 5 PM for picnickers. Get there early for a spot with a good view.
