Shakespeare in the Park Presents The Bacchae

By , About.com Guide   August 12, 2009

After a very successful run of Twelfth Night in June and July, Shakespeare in the Park is expanding beyond the Bard in August to present Euripides' classic Greek tragedy with a score by Philip Glass.

Catch a free performance of The Bacchae in Central Park from August 11-30, 2009.

And don't miss the Central Park Film Festival next week. The festival will present outdoor screenings of five great films set in New York -- from Shaft to Sex and the City.

Vote now for Viewer's Choice and help determine which film will be shown on Saturday night.

I'm campaigning for Desperately Seeking Susan -- what could be better than watching a young Madonna frolic in 1980's New York City?

Susan is narrowly beating out Goldfinger right now, so go vote to show your love for fingerless lace gloves and bustiers.
