Weekend Picks -- Laugh, Drink, and Get Centered

Friday November 6, 2009
  • New York Comedy Festival -- Laugh it up all weekend long during the New York Comedy Festival. Featured performers include Tracy Morgan, Ricky Gervais, Bill Maher, and many  more. I'm going to see the hilarious Bill Burr on Friday night.
  • Cook.Drink.Eat.Live -- Sample treats from New York City's top chefs and sip fine wines at this  three-day  food and wine event at The Tunnel & La.Venue (608 West 28th Street). Enjoy tastings and cooking demos from Ted Allen and other foodie celebs.
  • Go Ice Skating -- The Pond at Bryant Park is open for skating this weekend. The Lasker and Wollman Rinks in Central Park are also open, so what are you waiting for?
  • Spit & Twit -- Join Bottlerocket and City Winery for the first-ever, real-time interactive wine tasting. Taste more than 100 wines from all over the globe, then use Twitter to broadcast and compare notes with other winos as you sample. Tickets are $35 -- or 2 for the price of 1 if you purchase online.
