Monday, June 21, 2010 marks the summer solstice and the beginning of Gay Pride Week 2010 in New York. That means an action-packed day of free events (theater, concerts, yoga, James Bond) and a garden party to celebrate Pride Week. You're going to have to make some tough decisions about where to spend your Monday evening.
- Spirit of Pride at St. John the Divine -- This free Pride Week event will celebrate gay theater with performances by Tony winners and a panel discussion featuring Broadway talents.
- The Center Garden Party -- Tonight, the Center (short for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center) hosts its stylish annual Garden Party for NYC gay A-listers.
- Make Music New York 2010 --More than 1,000 free concerts will fill the air above New York City today with music for Make Music New York. Check out live music at your local bar, coffee shop, park or street corner.
- Summer Solstice in Times Square Yoga-thon -- Join yogis from 30+ New York yoga studios for free yoga sessions all day long in Times Square to mark the summer solstice.
- Goldfinger in Bryant Park -- The much-beloved HBO Bryant Park Film Festival starts tonight with a screening of Goldfinger under the stars in Bryant Park.
