The music will play on after yesterday's Make Music New York free concerts.
From 9am-10pm each day through July 5, 60 pianos will be available for anyone to play in public places across New York City. Presented by Sing for Hope they are located in public parks, streets and plazas in all five boroughs as part of an artwork by British artist Luke Jerram, who has been touring the project globally since 2008.
New Yorkers are encouraged to tickle the ivories and take photos and video to post to the Sing for Hope site. After July 5, the pianos will be donated to local schools and community groups.
See the locations of all 29 Play Me, I'm Yours pianos in Manhattan -- including 3 in Central Park, 4 at Lincoln Center, and in locations from the southern tip of Battery Park to the northern reaches of Riverbank State Park.
