NYC Election Day Guide: Voting and Election Night Parties

By November 5, 2012

Follow me on:

i votedLet me join the chorus of people reminding you to get to your polling place on Tuesday, November 6 and cast your vote. Don't be complacent, New Yorkers.

With most public transportation running again, you should be able to get to your polling place if you're in New York City. If not, please see this information about changes to accommodate voters who can't travel to their polling location (an absentee ballot can be picked up and mailed today, for example). Find your polling place.

Remember that you have a right to vote. If you have any trouble at the polling place, call Election Protection at 866-OUR-VOTE or download the Election Protection app.

Once you've voted, you don't have to go home and bite your nails watching the returns all by your lonesome.See our guide to Election Night parties and events in New York City (free drinks, live coverage, and lots of people to talk politics with).
