This Sunday, November 11 is Veterans Day. As always, New York City will host the nation's largest Veterans Day Parade on Fifth Avenue.
You can also pay tribute to veterans at other events around the city -- a patriotic marching band concert, a kissing booth in Times Square, and more.
Many companies are also offering freebies and discounts to military veterans as a way of saying thank you. Applebee's is serving free meals, Tim Hortons is giving away free donuts, and my own company (About.com is not my only gig) is offering veterans free training in job interview skills.
