The Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair
- When: Saturday, May 2, 2009. 10 AM to 6 PM[/lil]
- Where: Greenwich Street between Hubert and Duane Streets
- Getting There: Take the 1 to Franklin St. or the E to Canal Street
This free street fair is open to the public and features plenty of family-friendly entertainment -- from puppeteers and storytellers to dancers, stilt walkers, face painters and more.
Enjoy special performances on boulevard stages and neighborhood streets, with surprise appearances by favorite characters from movies, books, and television. The main stage will feature professional Broadway performers and local Tribeca talent.
On Greenwich Street, you'll find a grand promenade of tents, where local restaurants and merchants will offer tasty treats and other goodies.
You can also get creative in the arts and crafts tent and the Bubble Garden or compete in hula hoop contests and dance-offs.
Tribeca Family Film Festival Premieres
At the Tribeca Film Festival, you can also catch great family-friendly films and animated features from around the world. This year's features include a 25th-anniversary screening of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and new films including the documentaries Racing Dreams and P-Star Rising.
