The 2012 Tribeca Film Festival offers plenty of fun for kids with a free family street fair and a selection of films for both younger kids and teens.

The Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair

  • When: Saturday, April 28, 2012. 10 AM to 6 PM

  • Where: Greenwich Street between Chambers and Hubert Streets

  • Getting There: Take the 1 to Franklin St. or the E to Canal Street
Street Fair Highlights
This annual free street fair is open to the public and features plenty of family-friendly entertainment -- from puppeteers and storytellers to dancers, stilt walkers, face painters and more.

Enjoy special performances on boulevard stages and neighborhood streets, with surprise appearances by favorite characters from movies, books, and television. The main stage will feature professional performers from Broadway and around the world and local Tribeca talent.

You'll also find treats from local restaurants and hands-on crafts and activities.

Make and fly a kite in the Kite Garden, create giant bubbles in the Bubble Garden, get hands-on with arts and crafts, dance to live music from The Fuzzy Lemons and Hot Peas N' Butter, participate in hula hoop contests and other street games, and more.
