Fusion Flash Concerts in New York

Secret Locations and Hot Artists

By Pamela Skillings, About.com

Get exclusive access to details about this summer’s Fusion Flash Concert Series, featuring 10 hot artists performing surprise free concerts in 10 cities around the country.

Fusion Flash is basically a musical take on the “flash mob” phenomenon. Flash mobs are instant gatherings of large groups of people who are notified via emails or text messages just prior to the event. Only registered insiders will get concert details via email or text message before the show. Don’t miss your chance to be a music insider.

First up is a concert in New York by hip-hop band The Roots -- at an undisclosed location sometime in July. Further details are top secret. Future Fusion Flash performers will include Jermaine Dupri, Fat Joe, Yellowcard, Staind, The Wallflowers, Damien Marley, Collective Soul, Louis XIV, and Pete Yorn.

To find out who’s playing when and where, register online or text message “GO” to 35274 (FLASH). You must be signed up to get text messages and/or emails to find out where and at what time your favorite artists will perform for FREE this summer. You'll also get 10 free music downloads if you register.

Over the coming weeks, the Fusion Flash Concerts website will also post exclusive performance video, a tour blog with concert reviews & podcasts, a “mash-up” remix contest, music download, and a sweepstakes.
