Visit Grand Central Terminal this holiday season for shopping, dazzling light shows, and the New York Transit Museum's holiday train exhibit. Our Grand Central Terminal Holiday Photo Gallery offers a preview of what you'll see.

Holiday Fair

The annual Holiday Fair is a shopping extravaganza held in the magnificent 12,000 square foot Vanderbilt Hall. Grand Central has gathered 70+ vendors of unusual, beautiful and exotic goods that cannot be found elsewhere in the city. Browse among unique gifts like hand-painted table linens; handmade men's, women's and children's clothing; imported African crafts; mosaic mirrors, children's toys; and Japanese art prints.

Vanderbilt Hall, November 12 - December 24, 2012. Hours of operation: Mondays through Saturdays, 10 AM to 8 PM; Sundays, 11 AM to 7 PM; Christmas Eve, 10 AM to 6 PM. Closed on Thanksgiving Day.
Take the 4,5,6 or 7 to 42nd St./Grand Central Station

Grand Central 2012 Holiday Laser Light Show

Sadly, there will be no Grand Central Holiday Laser Light Show in 2012. The spectacular light show displayed against the famous Sky Ceiling, walls, and pillars of Grand Central Terminal has been a holiday tradition since 1999. This year, a call to the Station Master's office to inquire about the details for 2012 got the reply: "No sponsor, no light show."

Holiday Train Show

The New York Transit Museum Gallery Annex in Grand Central Terminal presents their Holiday Train Show through February 12, 2013. See model trains running through a beautiful holiday landscape. New York's regional commuter rail network is on track and ready to roll - in miniature - on a bi-level, 34-foot long track through a Manhattan cityscape towards Santa's workshop at the North Pole. Admission is free.

Where: Shuttle Passage, next to the Station Master's Office.
When: November 21, 2012 through February 12, 2013. Hours of operation: Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM; Saturday, 10 AM to 8 PM; Sunday, 10 AM to 7 PM; Christmas Eve, 10 AM to 6 PM. Closed Christmas and New Year’s Day.
