  • 2009 Tribeca Film Festival -- See the hottest new films, mingle with celebs, and support downtown Manhattan at the annual Tribeca Film Festival.


  • Revlon Run/Walk for Women in New York City -- Join 40,000 women and the people who love them for a run/walk in Central Park to help raise money for the research and treatment of cancer.


  • New York City Five Boro Bike Tour -- See the five boroughs in style on this annual bike tour of New York City.


  • Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in New York City -- Honor the Battle of Puebla, a great day in Mexican history, with great Mexican food and margaritas.


  • Continental International Restaurant Week -- From May 1-10, diners can enjoy exclusive offers on cuisine from around the world at 12 of New York City’s top Zagat-rated restaurants. Each restaurant was selected to represent the unique culinary style of a particular country -- from Tabla representing India to Megu representing Japan. Special offerings for International Restaurant Week include behind-the-scenes kitchen tours, unique menus, complimentary tastings and take home treats.


  • Affordable Art Fair -- Start that art collection you've always wanted at the Affordable Art Fair at 7W New York (7 West 34th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues). Browse through works from more than 60 galleries from around the world and attend art lectures and panel discussions.


  • The Con Film Festival -- From May 8-21, Film Forum pays tribute to cinema's greatest gangsters, criminal geniuses, and con artists. See classics including <em>I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang</em>, <em>White Heat</em>, and <em>Angels with Dirty Faces</em> (among many others). You'll pay just $11 for a double feature of two great films. Tickets go on sale at the Film Forum box office at 12:15PM on the day of the screening.


  • HomeBase IV New York -- The HomeBase Project is a unique public art project that kicks off on Saturday and runs through May 24th. A group of international artists have created work that explores the meaning of "Home" through various media. You can tour the exhibits and also enjoy featured performances, salon conversations, and poetry readings.
