The New York Film Festival will run from September 25-October 11, 2009 and feature film premieres and special events including panel discussions and dialogues with award-winning directors.

New York Film Festival 2009 Highlights

The opening night film for the 2009 New York Film Festival will be Wild Gras by Alain Resnais. The festival's centerpiece film will be the highly-anticipated Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire. The closing night of the festival will feature Pedro Almodóvar's Broken Embrace, starring Penelope Cruz.

The 2009 New York Film Festival will also feature several film showcases, panel discussions, a three-day celebration of experimental and avant-garde filmmaking, and much more.

Screenings will take place at the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center (65th Street between Broadway & Amsterdam Avenue), Alice Tully Hall (Broadway at 65th Street), and the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse (West 65th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam).
