Celebrate the Culture of Puerto Rico

By

NYC National Puerto Rican Day Parade
Look for more than two million spectators and some 80,000 marchers along Fifth Avenue on Sunday, June 10th for the 2012 Puerto Rican Day Parade.

The parade will start at 11 am at Fifth Avenue and 44th Street and proceed uptown along Fifth Avenue to 79th Street, as was the case last year when the route was shortened by seven blocks.

The National Puerto Rican Day Parade 2012 will showcase Puerto Ricans and higher education and their educational and intellectual achievements. It actually marks the 55th Puerto Rican Day Parade in NYC. Honorees will include Grand Marshal Felix Matos Rodriguez, President of Hostos Community College (SUNY), Victor Cruz, star receiver of the NFL's New York Giants, Actress Author Sonia Manzano, and more.

Join New York's proud Puerto Rican community for music, food, dance, and marching politicians and celebrities.

There are also a number of other New York events to celebrate Puerto Rican culture throughout the month of June -- including street festivals, a gala banquet, a domino tournament, a signature concert and dance, parties, and more.

For more information about the parade or other events, visit The National Puerto Rican Day Parade web site or call (718) 401-0404.
