- Celebrate Mexico Now Festival and Restaurant Week -- The Celebrate México Now festival will pay tribute to Mexico's best cuisine, dance, film, literature, music, theater, and visual art in New York from September 8-15, 2008. One of the highlights is sure to be New York Authentic Mexican Restaurant Week. Enjoy three-course, prix-fixe menus ($25 lunch/$35 dinner), at some of the city's finest authentic Mexican restaurants.
- Remembering September 11 -- Mark the six-year anniversary of September 11, 2001 at memorial events and concerts around Manhattan.
- San Gennaro Festival -- Attention cannoli lovers: Little Italy's Feast of San Gennaro runs from September 11-21, 2008. This outdoor festival is one of New York's oldest and most popular. Brave the crowds for live entertainment and lots of great food.

- Classical Music in Bryant Park -- Enjoy free 1.5 hour after-work concerts in Bryant Park from September 23rd through October 8th featuring musicians from the New York Philharmonic, The Metropolitan Opera, Orchestra of St. Luke's, New York City Opera and The New York Pops.
- New York Anime Festival -- From September 26-28, the New York Anime Festival will be at Jacob Javits Center. Mingle with anime artists and check out anime screenings, video games, live-action Japanese cinema, fashion, food, and more.
- TropFest NY 2008 -- Tropfest, the world's largest short film festival, will take place at the World Financial Center Plaza on September 26th. Thousands of New Yorkers, including VIP judges Billy Crudup and Malcolm Gladwell, will view 8 original short films and choose the nights best films.
- Medieval Festival in Fort Tryon Park -- The area around the Cloisters Museum will be transformed into a medieval village on Sunday, September 28, 2008. Hang with knights, jesters, magicians, storytellers, and puppeteers in authentic medieval garb. Featured events will include a Living Chess Game, a Childrens Costume Parade, and a Joust Tournament with knights on horseback.
