Fighting Homophobia in New York City's St. Patrick's Day Parade

From

Irish Queers is dedicated to fighting the homophobia of New York City's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade -- specifically, the refusal of the parade's organizers, the Ancient Order of the Hiberians, to allow LGBT groups to participate in the festivities.

Irish Queers is therefore most active in the annual lead-up to St. Patrick's Day, March 17. See their web site for the latest info about meetings and rallies.

(In contrast to the Manhattan parade's refusal to allow self-identified LGBT marchers, the Queens St. Pat's for All Parade is welcoming of all people and groups.)
