Tyra A. Ross

Model, community advocate, and veritable Jackie-of-all-trades Tyra A. Ross will be strutting the stage at BPX: The Black Party Expo and Bazaar. But Tyra Allure won’t be alone. Her performance will be choreographed with 20 gay porn stars.

“They’re more like my props,” Tyra Allure laughs. “As far I’m concerned I’m their queen bee. It will leave a lot to the imagination.” She credits BC Productions, the stage show’s organizer, for a long history of mixing genres.

Tyra Allure has been performing professionally for a decade. (Another important milestone: Her birthday falls on the same day as BPX.) “As an entertainer you always have to play to your audience. I always maintain one personality, and I want people to know that I am grateful for being allowed in their space, but I understand them, too.” Understanding defines Tyra Allure. Empathy is a running theme on her website, and she says, “The last 10 years have been like going to school.” In turns, she appreciates the leather community’s open-mindedness.
