Halloween in Central Park 2009

• Boo At The Zoos
  Where: Central Park Zoo and Bronx Zoo
  When: Central Park Zoo -- Friday and Saturday, October 30 & 31, 2009; Bronx Zoo --Every weekend in October
  Admission: Free with zoo admission
  Celebrate Halloween with the zoo animals. Watch animal residents devour Halloween treats, take part in "spooktacular" activities, and make creative Halloween crafts.



• Pumpkin Carving in Central Park
  Where: The Charles A. Dana Discovery Center, inside the Park at 110th Street between Fifth and Lenox Avenues
  When: Friday, October 23, 2009. 2:30-4:30PM
  Admission: Free
  Round up the whole family to carve creative jack-o-lantern to bring to the annual Halloween Pumpkin Sail (see below). Stick around for a sneak peek at the new Parks Department Haunted House, which will also be open during Saturday's Pumpkin Festival.



• Halloween Pumpkin Festival
  Where: Central Park near 72nd Street entrance
  When: Saturday, October 24, 2009. 12PM-5PM. Rain or shine.
  Admission: Free
  Join the family fun at the Halloween Pumpkin Festival in Central Park on Saturday. Enjoy storytelling, crafts, a scarecrow design contest, pumpkin carving (with free pumpkins for all kids), live music, hay rides, and more.



• Halloween Pumpkin Parade and Sail
  Where: The Charles A. Dana Discovery Center, inside the Park at 110th Street between Fifth and Lenox Avenues
  When: Sunday, October 25, 2009. 3PM-6PM. Rain or shine.
  Admission: Free
  Hear spooky stories, march in the costume parade, and hang out with Frankenstein. Then, at twilight, illuminated carved pumpkins will be magically set afloat across the Harlem Meer. • Spooks at Belvedere Castle
  Where:Belvedere Castle (mid-park at 79th Street)
  When: Friday, October 30, 2009. 4-6pm, 6:30-8pm
  Admission: Free
  Enjoy a creepy night at Central park's own gothic castle.Get ready for some spooky surprises and free treats for those brave enough to make it through the castle of terrors!
