Celebrate Halloween with the zoo animals. Watch animal residents devour Halloween treats, take part in "spooktacular" activities, and make creative Halloween crafts.
  • Boo At The Zoos
    Where: Central Park Zoo and Bronx Zoo
    When: Central Park Zoo -- Sunday, October 28, 2012; Bronx Zoo --Every weekend in October
    Admission: Central Park -- $50 for one adult and one child; Bronx Zoo -- $29.95 per adult, $19.95 per child


  • Halloween: Bats at Belvedere Castle
    Where:Belvedere Castle (mid-park at 79th Street)
    When: Friday, October 26, 2012. 5:00-6:30pm
    Admission: Free
    Learn about bats from biologist Bill Schutt and commune with the nocturnal creatures in Central Park.


  • Halloween Pumpkin Parade and Sail
    Where: The Charles A. Dana Discovery Center, inside the Park at 110th Street between Fifth and Lenox Avenues
    When: Sunday, October 28, 2012. 4PM-7PM.
    Admission: Free
    Hear spooky stories, march in the costume parade, and hang out with Frankenstein. Then, at twilight, illuminated carved pumpkins will be set afloat across the Harlem Meer.   • Pumpkin Festival
    Where: Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park near 72nd Street and 5th Avenue entrance
    When: Saturday, October 27, 2012. 12PM-5PM. Rain or shine.
    Admission: Free
    Join the family fun at the Halloween Pumpkin Festival in Central Park on the Saturday before Halloween. Enjoy a haunted house, storytelling, crafts, a marionette show, pumpkin carving (with free pumpkins for all kids), live music, and more.
