A life-long New Yorker, Miller cites education as his top issue. He has also been very vocal in criticizing Mayor Bloomberg's single-minded focus on building a West Side Stadium and attracting the 2012 Olympics.
Miller's Chances:
Miller has been endorsed by former Council Speaker Peter Vallone Sr. and other community leaders and leads his opponents in fund-raising. However, opinion polls show that Miller's popular support lags well behind that of Ferrer and Fields.
