Housing Works is committed to ending the twin crises of AIDS and homelessness. Since 1990, the organization has provided services for homeless men, women, and children living with HIV and AIDS in New York City and beyond.

Housing Works raises funds through the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe and the Housing Works Thrift Shops, a chain of upscale thrift shops in New York City. These social enterprise businesses are staffed mostly by volunteers and rely on donations.

The Housing Works Cafe Bookstore appreciates donations of books, music, or movies. The organization is also always looking for new volunteers.
