  • The Orchid Show -- Marvel at the world's most exotic and awe-inspiring orchids at the 2012 Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx. The Orchid Show opens on March 3, 2012 and runs through April 22, 2012. This year, you can also enjoy the orchids after dark with a cocktail during Orchid Evenings.


  • Armory Art Show and Armory Art Week-- The Armory Show has been the world's leading art fair devoted exclusively to contemporary art since its introduction in 1999. More than 200 international galleries are participating in the 2012 Armory Show from March 8-11, 2012 at Piers 92 and 94 (55th Street and the Hudson River).Tickets are $30 ($15 for students). During Armory Arts Week, you can also find a number of other interesting arts events at museums and galleries all over the city.


  • Craic Festival-- Start celebrating St. Patrick's Day a few days early. The Craic Festival runs March 8-10, 2012 and features great Irish performers onstage at Joe's Pub and Mercury Lounge and screenings of Irish films at Tribeca Cinemas.


  • Mr. Rawhide Contest -- Chelsea's oldest leather bar Rawhide usually crowns their man of the year in March. Stay tuned for updated details when theya re released.


  • St. Patrick's Day Parade -- Join New York's Irish community and friends from around the world for the 2012 New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade on Fifth Avenue.


  • More St. Patrick's Day Fun in New York City -- Parties, concerts, events, and drink specials to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in New York.


  • Black Party 2012 -- The Black Party is the legendary gay dance party and circuit event organize by Saint at Large. Go behind the scenes for the Black Party Expo and the main event at Roseland Ballroom.


  • World Water Week -- From March 19 through March 25, 2012, hundreds of participating NYC restaurants will invite their customers to donate a minimum of $1 for the tap water they would normally get for free. For every dollar raised, a child will have clean drinking water for 40 days.


  • Macy's Flower Show -- Welcome spring at Macy's spectacular annual flower show. The 2012 Macy's Flower Show will run from March 25 through April 7, 2012. This year's theme is "Brasil" and the show will expand outside Macy's to a tent on Broadway Plaza.
