I recently had the pleasure of visiting Macy's Parade Studio in Hoboken for a sneak peek at the eight brand new floats set to debut at the 2008 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was a thrill to get an up-close look at these massive works of art and hear about the artistry and hard work that go into taking a Macy's float from idea to larger-than-life spectacle.
The new floats for the 2008 Macys' Thanksgiving Day Parade include cute animals from Disney/Pixar's Bolt (Miley Cyrus will be waving to the crowd from this one), a scene from Central Park (a vehicle for Kermit the Frog himself), the princesses and pink castle of My Princess Academy, a beautiful creation story from the Oneida Indian Nation, a gathering of woodland animals from Ocean Spray Cranberries, and more.
