A Valentine's Day night on the town in New York doesn't usually come cheap, but we managed to find a few special deals for recession romantics. For all of you big spenders, we've also got prix fixe specials at New York's most romantic restaurants.

We are continuing to add to this list as Valentine's Day approaches and restaurants reveal their offerings for the most romantic day of the year.

Celebrate Valentine's Day at New York's landmark '21' Club, where the romantic upstairs dining room has been the site of numerous wedding proposals. For Valentine's Day 2013, 21 is serving a sumptuous three-course dinner, including a champagne toast, for $125 per person.

2. Agave

3. Aureole

For Valentine's Day 2013, Aureole is serving a sumptuous six-course, prix-fixe dinner featuring caviar, oysters, and lobster for $150 per person in the bar room and $195 per person in the dining room ($100 wine pairing supplement). While there are certainly more affordable Valentine's Day options, Aureole is a great choice for a special occasion splurge.

4. Ayza Wine and Chocolate Bar

You have to love a place that specializes in pairing wine and chocolate. For Valentine's Day, Ayza is serving a special menu featuring filet mignon, wild striped bass, and other entrees. Get three courses and a glass of chocolate wine for $68/person.

5. BLT Steak

BLT Steak is serving a pix-fixe, three-course dinner for $60 per person. Options include poached langoustine, a petite filet with fois gras and black truffle Bordelaise, and more. You can also order from the regular menu to your heart's content.

The legendary Chef David Bouley is offering a five-course dinner tasting menu for $225 per person ($3555 with wine pairing) this Valentine's Day. You can also take your Valentine to a romantic five-course luncheon tasting at Bouley for $125 per person ($205 with wine pairing).

7. Bryant Park Grill
