Enjoy an evening of free art and culture -- in Manhattan's top museums and out in the street -- at the annual Museum Mile Festival on Fifth Avenue. For one evening, museum admission is free and cars are banned on Fifth Avenue between 82nd and 105th Streets for live music and entertainment, street art activities for kids, and more fun in the streets.

The Museum Mile Festival is a beloved tradition in New York City and more than 50,000 New Yorkers are expected to turn out for this evening of art, culture, and fun.

This year, New Yorkers can get a sneak peek at the newest addition to Museum Mile -- the Museum for African Art, scheduled to open in September 2011.
