Slice of the city

I love the High Line. For a relatively new venue, it already has become part of the spirit of the city. I walk over sometimes after work. I love looking at what they've done with "weeds" -- it's such a brilliant idea to take the straggly plants that grow in vacant lots and put them in settings where people marvel over them and take photos of them. But even better, it's a perfect place to see the diversity, spirit and style that's displayed by the visitors. The other night I went over and a group was having a get-together. All the women were wearing fantastic hats (some elegant, some wildly creative). They were having a picnic on the steps. I was sorry that I wasn't wearing a fantastic hat so that I could have mingled with the crowd!

HIGH LINE OPINION

I AM RELATIVELY NEW TO THE WEST SIDE OF NEW YORK AND FIND SO MANY WONDERFUL HISTORIC ATTRACTIONS HERE. THE HIGH LINE IS AB-FAB. BEAUTIFUL, PICTURESQUE, PEACEFUL AND EVERY SUPERLATIVE I CAN THINK OF. CONGRATULATIONS NYC FOR THE RESTORATION!
